Scriptures in this podcast:
- Genesis 2: 8
Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. 9 The LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
10 A river watering the garden flowed from Eden;
- Revelation 22:2
In the midst of the street (in heaven)of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Here are two occasions where we see the tree of life which is symbolic of Jesus. There is a river there which also represents flow of God’s love, light, and word.
- Genesis 3:6
When the woman saw that the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eyes, and that it was desirable for obtaining wisdom, she took the fruit and ate it. She also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate it.
- Matthew 7:15-20
: 15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
- Matthew 24:4
– Jesus answered, See to it that no one deceives you. This was in response to the disciples asking Jesus concerning his prophesy of the temple being destroyed.
- Habakkuk 2: 1-2
– I will take my stand at my watchpost and station myself on the tower; and look out to see what He wants to say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint: And the Lord answered me, “Write the vision. Make it plain on tablets, so those who read it may run with it.”
- John 14:6
– I am the way, the Truth and the life and that no one comes in to the father except through Me.
- Ephesians 6:14
-Stand, therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness.
- Proverbs 11:14
– Where there is no council, the people fall; but in the abundance of council there is victory.
