I’m 6 feet tall, wear a 12 Wide shoe, and grew up in the South. I didn’t know macaroni and cheese came in a box. My mom cooked wholesome meals. Then, along came fast food and poor choices. After my third child, my body went out of balance with weight gain and lots of self-condemnation. Over 25 years ago, I had a pulmonary embolism. I took lots of meds and had lots of tests and surgeries. I put my body through lots of pain with fruitless “no pain, no gain” exercises and nutrient-depleting yoyo dietings.
BUT GOD! A few years ago, something began to shift. I accepted an altar call for prayer and began again to lose weight and felt great. It was the beginning of a new journey to keep learning:
* To surrender my will to Jesus Christ and seek His direction.
* To be obedient to His direction.
* To pursue truth with the counsel of the Holy Spirit truths about wellness. This included learning about food, water, and air quality.
* To love and respect my body, warts and all, and to speak life-giving words to it as well as offer it self-care and rest.
* To keep my ship’s sail full of God’s direction and to course correct.
I am still 6 feet tall I still wear a size 12 Wide shoe and post on my social media fun flip-flop pics showing them off. I speak love and life and grace to my body.
My health has improved! To God be ALL the glory! My blood work for the past several years shows no hypothyroidism or clotting factors. I AM PRESCRIPTION FREE with no adverse medical diagnoses!

10 Steps to Better Health
1. INCLUDE GOD! PRAISE GOD every day for your life and the healing he is bringing to your body. We believe in the declaration of health in both word and deed. PRAY for insight and for the Lord to lead you to a path of better wellness. What might you need to come into agreement, or out of agreement with that is not good for you? He will guide you. Get a prayer partner! Start journaling and writing down what the Lord tells you. TRUST HIM!
2. DRAIN AND DETOXIFY! This is huge and three part: (1) You must move and sweat and possibly take supplements to clean your body systems to allow toxins to clear your system. (2) Detox using gentle, natural products. We use Cleanse from Live Pure or various herbs from A Branch of Leaves and Roots. (3) Rid the fear and stress, in Jesus’s name. Just six minutes of stress begins to create toxins in your system! READ ON
3. SLEEP -one of the best ways to refresh, detoxify, and build your immune system is rest. (Example: 1 Kings 19:5) Melatonin is also considered a great support for rest. If you are having trouble sleeping, consider your EMF exposure. Keep electronics free from your sleep area.
4. SUPPLEMENT: Prayerfully balance your healthy intentional food chioices as needed with biologically effective vitamins and minerals. 6. CHOOSE CLEAN nutritious foods, organic when at all possible. There are so many additives, pesticides, and chemicals in food these days. Make a decision each day to build your temple. Choose clean foods also means eliminating poor ones – like SUGAR and hydrogenated fats, and color dyes, etc. Stevia and monk fruit are excellent sweeteners.
7. Pycnogenol – is one of the greatest antioxidants and serves as a natural form of aspirin. It is a product from a maritime pine from France. Out of all the steps, isn’t it interesting this is the ONE supplement we mention. In a world of growing heart conditions, this is our top choice. Do your own research and pray about it.
8. LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNITY: Prayerfully consider your medical practitioner choices. There are many functional doctors out there who favor more natural remedies. Also, become part of community. We are better together. We also offer online small groups. Contact us.
