While meditating on Psalm 18:21, “Life and death are in the power of the tongue,” I heard the Lord say, “BE FIERCE IN THE FRAY.” Watch the video version by selecting it at the bottom of this post.

FRAY

The word “Fray” has three meanings.

  •  to unravel or become worn at the edge, typically through constant rubbing.
  • a person’s nerves or temper to show the effects of strain.
  • where an animal, such as a deer, makes its mark on territory during rut season.

All three definitions seem to have application if considering the condition of the world.  There are personal threats to liberty, loss of life and territory, rising costs to basic needs of life, and multitudes of storms and earthly convulsions with the earth in revolt.  (Deuteronomy 21:1-9)  As people work within a range of views, may I assert we all have a common enemy. satan.  According to scripture, this fallen angel wanders the earth “like a roaring lion seeking whom to devour”. (1 Peter 5:3) We are certainly in the fray, and God has something to say about it.

FIERCE

The word “Fierce.” – having an intense or ferocious aggressiveness.  It is also a heartfelt or powerful intensity.

I am reminded of the woman with the issue of blood who said, “If I could just touch the hem of His (Jesus’s garment), I will be healed.” (Mark 5:28) The woman fiercely pressed into a crowd seeking the fray of Jesus’s garment, for the fulfilling of her Hope in Him.

As I meditated more fully upon, “BE FIERCE IN THE FRAY,” the Lord spoke more to me about this.

“TEAR IT DOWN.  I TORE THE VEIL OF THE TEMPLE DOWN FOR YOU.  NOW, YOU TEAR IT DOWN.  TEAR DOWN FURTHER THOSE THINGS SEPARATING MY CHILDREN FROM ME.  CLAIM JOINT CUSTODY OF MY CHURCH.  ALLOW ALL MEMBERS TO PARTAKE OF THE FIVE-FOLD PARTS TO GROW, SERVE, AND SOAR.”woman on rock arms open

The first veil the Lord mentioned was the one in His tabernacle in Jerusalem. The veil was a curtain to separate the inner court from the Holy of Holies.  Beyond the veil and into the Holy of Holies was the sacred place where only the designated priest could go and commune with God.  When Jesus was crucified on the cross, at his death, the veil was torn from top to bottom. (Matthew 27:51) The veil tore from heavenward to the earth signifying full access to God by all.

The veil of this Word to be torn down now symbolizes Church structure often referred to as the five-fold ministry of the Church.  This consists of prophets, teachers, evangelists, pastors, and apostles. (Ephesians 4:11) There has been a division among the various churches as to whether these offices should still exist in the church.  I would say, as God has told me, an absolute YES.  The greater glory and power of God’s people is through operating in our full authority as He has designed.  It is satan’s kryptonite in that when the saints all rise to realize their authority in Christ, and begin to operate in their authority, we will be able to crush the enemy.  Satan may have power, but only because man gives it to him.  However, he DOES NOT have authority.  Yet, we must claim that through Christ.  It is time to examine more fully how we can do this. (Ephesians 2:6)

The church has mostly operated with pastors, teachers, and evangelists.  With full embodiment, are we also stifling the gifts of the Spirit.  (1 Corinthians 12:1,8-11)

For those who have been receiving prophetic words, I pray for you to bravely release them and as God leads you.  As you are obedient, He will open the ears of those whom He has already prepared to hear.  For those whom He has and will call as apostles, we need you.  Jesus has given us all authority to “tread on serpents and scorpions signifying the devil and his minions and to overcome ALL the power of the enemy. “  Yes, ALL. (Luke 10:19)

INCLUDE ALL OF THE FIVE-FOLD AND STIR UP THE GIFTS WITHIN THE BODY OF CHRIST

Moving forward, it’s time for a spiritual gut check and to ask God to open your gifts to serve in this battle.  This is a call upon the Church to move in God’s stream and to encourage and facilitate the movement of the five-fold ministry of the church.  Do not sit down the prophets and apostles or suppress the gifts God has for his children.  Encourage the Body of the church by establishing meetings for people to meet and practice and stir up their gifts in one of these offices as well as in the gifts of the spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:1,8-11) We need God’s full army! What a church we will be when we fully move and operate in the authority of our King!

As we pray His Kingdom to Come, how much more effective must we be in the pulling down of strongholds of the enemy. (2 Corinthians 10:4-5) That pulling down, the tearing of the veil put between us and God by false philosophies of men, will move the Church in His stream of living waters and allow God’s Kingdom to come into this realm.

We face an enemy who does not merely spar and give us a break to recover.  He is a full-blown stealth assassin seeking to steal, kill, and destroy.  We need ALL in the Body to embrace their gifts and operate in them to conquer this foe.

PRAY FIERCELY!

Prayers should be fierce as we are certainly in the fray.  Ask God what to pray for.  He will tell you.  Use the power of your tongue to pray aloud and boldly for:

*God to manifest Himself you and to his children.

* To manifest your giftings and to teach you how to use them.

*Hedges of protection around those in danger or around our families

* Exposure of the enemy and unclean servants and that all evil to fall to the ground and burn, for God’s Word “will not return to Him void.” (Isaiah 55:11)

* Declare the plans of the enemy to be confused, crushed, and destroyed. (Job 22:28)

* Ask God to send Hosts of angels to problem areas (family issues, countries, towns, homes, circumstances, places of evil, wherever He tells you, etc.) to break through the enemy strongholds.

*Declare as a believer you will not tolerate evil in a situation, in an illness, ungodliness actions, and push back the enemy in Jesus’s name.

*Declare God’s Kingdom to come on earth as is in Heaven

*Ask God to show you, and repent of, any areas of your life that need to be awakened, repented of, and to show you any bitterness that would hinder your authority to pray His will upon this earth

*Pray for God to lead you to people He wants you to pray with and for. (Ecclesiastes 4:12)

*Put on the Whole Armor of God by declaring so – EVERY day.  (Ephesians 6:12-19)

*Pray in tongues.  There is healing power and strengthening in praying in your prayer language. (1 Corinthians 14:4)

May the Lord bless you as you continue in your journey.  “Be fierce in the fray!”
