Cry out to Me, and I Will Come Quickly!
“WHISPERING WINDS OF MY SPIRIT ARE COMING TO THOSE WHO CRY OUT TO ME. CRY OUT TO ME AND I WILL COME QUICKLY.”
“Cry” in Hebrew is qoz (זאהק ZAhQ) and means to call out, assemble, gather, and proclaim. In these terms, it is almost always a spoken word of plea. Likewise, in the Greek, it is krazo (pronounced krad’-zo) and means to croak, cry out, and even to cry out for vengeance.
A significant time came in my life when I was in desperate need of God. I had grown distant in my relationship with God and operating in a legalistic manner. Things were not working. In a deep moment of despair, I cried out to God. That very night, I received a profound dream that led to get more help and to eventually get delivered by Jesus from trauma. The Lord encourage me to move onward and toward the destiny He planned for me. (Jeremiah 29:11) My words crying out, “God, please help me,” brought Jesus into my life in a greater way that I ever imagined. He came quickly.
There are numerous examples in scripture further testifying that God responds when we cry out:
*Exodus 2:23 – Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry for help because of their bondage rose up to God.
*1 Samuel 7:9 – Samuel took a suckling lamb and offered it for a whole burnt offering to the Lord; and Samuel cried to the Lord for Israel and the Lord answered him.
*1 Kings 17:20 – He called to the Lord and said, “O Lord my God, have You also brought calamity to the widow with whom I am staying, by causing her son to die? (from this crying out, the prophet Elijah went into the boy and God raised the boy from the dead.
*Psalm 34:6 – This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him. And saved him out of all his troubles.
Crying out can also include weeping. Jesus wept three times: hearing of Lazarus’s death (John 11:35), over Jerusalem and the future state of his people (Luke 19:41), and as fervent cries to God who could save him. (Hebrews 5:7-9) As our King cries out for help and weeps over the condition of the world and of death, how more should we also cry out to him.
Four years ago, I wept and cried out to the Lord to teach me how to pray. I have gone through numerous phases, steps, and places to learn and press into the heart of the Father. I am still a student, and in that journey, I have found that prayer is something to release our full heart and to cry to Him.
In early 2020 when the virus seemed to hit the entire world, I cried out to God. I experienced a vision where, with my spiritual eyes, I found myself caught up above the earth with Christ. I saw Him in a side profile and walked up to Him and knelt at His feet. While my body was in submission, my heart was full of emotions and seeking His quick fix to our world. I stood and began to look at what He was seeing. Jesus’s eyes were laser-focused on our earth which resembled the image of the scientific image of the corona virus. It was like a red and white spongy ball with red blots and plugs sticking out from it. As I was in the presence of the Lord, I found myself anxiously crying to Him to do heal our world. The Lord maintained his stance. I then realized I must patiently wait in His presence and to trust that He was doing something. As I surrendered my own emotions to Him and sought His will, I began to see and hear more. I saw what looked like strands of string of varying lengths arising from the earth’s surface. I heard in my spirit, “THESE ARE TGE PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE.” I then began to hear sounds, even cries, coming up from those strands. I also noticed the strands were scattered about with higher concentrations in some areas with little activity in others.
Other the next few months, the Lord has taken me back to this scene two more times. During the second time, I noticed the prayer strands and cries were louder and longer. I knew that every one of them was being heard by Jesus.
On the third occasion, some strands were very high with an amazing shift. Suddenly, a group of people arose to our level with their strands below them as their platform. As soon as they stepped up, Jesus turned right and began to walk toward a large wall and doorway. We followed Him and observed Jesus raise his arm toward the doorway as to open it. The doorway now split in the middle and, as I got closer, it appears as flesh. I realized Jesus was guiding us to go “beyond the flesh” into a calm, softly white lit area of His presence. Many others were already there and resting on stretchers or beds and being ministered to. I realized Jesus had invited us to this place of rest, His ultimate and complete rest.
During these difficult days, I want to encourage you that God hears every cry. I invite you to open up your heart to give Him your all. Pour out your heart to God and allow Him to come quickly to take you to that place of rest beyond the physical world. He longs for your deep, heartfelt, and earnest prayers. I encourage you to get real with God, and let God be more real with you. Tell Him your deepest concerns and fears. Draw near to God, and He promises to come to you. (James 4:8) It is with your WHOLE heart that you will find the richness of our King (Jeremiah 29:12-14)
Continuing the beginning word of this post, the Lord then said,
“THERE ARE SOUNDS ALL AROUND YOU TO REMIND YOU TO CRY OUT TO ME. THE GULL’S CRY IS TO REMIND YOU. THE BEAR’S GROWL. THE EAGLES’S LONG AND FIERCE BLEAT. THEY ALL KNOW HOW TO CRY OUT. IS YOUR LIFE SO BUSY THAT YOU CANNOT SPEND TIME WITH ME? MY HEART LONGS TO SHARE MY BEAT AS YOU REST UPON MY CHEST. I AM YOUR FATHER. COME TO ME ALL YE HEAVY LADEN AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST.”
Oh, beloved God wants to hear from you. His heart is full for you and is waiting for you to fully reach out to Him.
When you step out beyond yourself and cry unto God, He will meet you there. He is always ready.
